there was a pretty rose thornful
beautiful blooming at the peak
of the highest mountain ranges
princes from all the land aspired

for its beauty, none was worthy
but just one less fortunate soul
but one that stood far from the rest
nothing to offer but courage

to love and to care forever
leaving behind family and
all treasures of this world to reach
and love this one and only rose
